Motorola EDGE S is all set to become the world's first smartphone with a newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. The launch of Motorola EDGE is set for January 26, making it a third model in the Edge series which was launched by the company last year. This information comes from the official Motorola Weibo Handle, which records a teaser image that displays a smartphone chipset. This told us a little about Motorola Edge S, most of which remained hidden until now. Given that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 is basically Snapdragon 865+ with a new paint layer, we can expect a smartphone to come up with the specifications of flagship-tier and suitable price labels.

Motorola Edge Specifications
The only Motorola smartphone that matches the description is one codename Motorola Nio. We have found the smartphone on several occasions thanks to many leaks. The initial speculation suggested that the Motorola EDGE S specification will include Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. The geekbench score seems to also confirm the information. However, remembering the similarities between the two chipsets, people can understand why Snapdragon 870 is wrong for Snapdragon 865.
