Huawei Mate X2, Huawei's next generation folding smartphone, is here. Smartphones have been launched through live broadcast from China, and representing Huawei about how to imagine a foldable smartphone. Interestingly, Huawei Mate X2 looks and operates the same as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 - with a folding layout inside that holds a large screen inside and the secondary display outside. Availability, most likely, may be limited to China, at least for now.

Huawei mate X2 Price
Huawei Mate X2 for 256GB storage version is priced at RMB 17,999 (approximately Rs 2,01,600), and RMB 18,999 (approximately Rs 2,13,000). It will be on sale in China from February 25 with color options like Black, White, Crystal Blue and Crystal Pink.
Specifications of Huawei Mate X2
Dual-SIM (Nano) Huawei Mate X2 runs on Android 10 with EMUI 11. Outside, this phone displays an OLED 6.45 inch screen with a resolution of 1,160x2,700 pixels with 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and a 456ppi pixel density. When opened, it reveals an 8-inch OLED display with a 2,200x2,480 pixels which has a 90Hz refresh rate, the touch sampling rate of 180Hz, and the 413ppi pixels density. Huawei Mate X2 has a Octa-core Kirin 9000 SoC and Mali-G78 GPU. It comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage that can be expanded through the Huawei's Nano memory card (up to 256GB).

For photos and videos, Huawei Mate X2 has a quad rear camera setup which includes a 50 megapixel primary sensor with F / 1.9 lens, support of Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a 16-megapixel sensors with ultra-wide-angle f /2.2 lens, 12-megapixel telefoto shooter with f / 2.4 aperture and support of OIS, and 8 megapixel super zoom cameras with F / 4.4. On the front, there is a single 16-megapixel sensor with f / 2.2 lens but the Punch-Hole cut out is in the form of pills shape, giving the impression of a dual selfie camera.
Huawei Mate X2 has a connectivity options like 5G, 4G LTE, Dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and type-C USB ports for charging. Onboard sensors include gravity sensors, infrared sensors (IR), barometer, gyroscope, compass, surrounding light sensors, and closeness sensors. There is also a Side-mounted fingerprint scanner installed on Huawei Mate X2. It has a 4,500mAh battery on the phone which supports 55W fast charging (charger included in the box). The phone in a folded state measuring a 161.8x74.6x14.7mm and in the unfold state measure 161.8x145.8x8.2mm, weighing 295 grams.
